- Yeah, that's what I thought kinda. I can use the other ports to get
- software in & out, but I'm stuck with the boot data on the hard disk.
- If the bootblock were corrupted (virus or whatever) I guess this A1200
- would be dead (my other hard drive is a scsi, so I can't do a physical
- swap). So here is an idea/question--can I boot from CC0:? If I could
- get a minimal amount of software in that way I could load the rest thru
- the serial or parallel ports. I have an A600 (1mb ram and nothing
- else) just sitting around. Would it be possible to make a bootcard
- (with some net software) on the A600 and use it to boot the A1200? I
- have never used (or even seen) a PCMCIA card but I have heard that
- there are cards that save data when removed. If anyone has any info
- they can share (booting with an PCMCIA card, what brand of card to buy,
- or what retailer I can buy from) I would greatly appreciate it.
- Thanks!
